Today, on October 20, 2024, a meeting took place between the President of the High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi, Malik Jawad Khalid ASC, and the Secretary General, Shabir Ahmed Mirza ASC, with the Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, at Punjab House, Islamabad. During the meeting, the leadership of the High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi briefed the Governor on the issues faced by members of the legal community and the ongoing welfare projects.
They extended an invitation to the Governor to visit the High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi as a guest. The Governor graciously accepted this invitation, stating that it would be an honor for him to visit the High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi and support the lawyers’ welfare projects.
He assured the Association that he would make every effort to facilitate quality education for the children of lawyers, establish a Ladies Bar at the High Court Bar Association, and complete the lawyers’ hospital. The Governor promised to visit the High Court Bar Association in the coming week, which was warmly appreciated by President Malik Jawad Khalid and Secretary General Shabir Ahmed Mirza, who thanked him for his commitment.
